Recently The Quilt Show visited the National Quilt Museum as part of our trip to AQS QuiltWeek in Paducah. While there, we got to explore their brand new exhibit celebrating the quilts of Tula Pink entitled Twenty Years of Tula Pink. In the coming months we will feature some of these quilts that were on display in our gallery for you to admire. In the meantime, take a peek behind the curtain and see the National Quilt Museum unpack Tula's quilts and get them ready to display.
From Stylecraft Yarns: "Congratulations to veteranknitter for breaking a world record in knitting the longest scarf whilst running a marathon. He needed to beat 3.7 meters and knitted an amazing 5.5 meters!!!" If it were us, we'd probably fall down after the first inch or two, but some people are just truly talented (and well-coordinated enough) to pull off such a feat. Want to get a glimpse of veteranknitter's world record-setting scarf? Click through to see how it turned out.

The National Quilt Museum's New Quilts From An Old Favorite exhibit has returned, this time with a focus on food. A challenge was sent out to quilters to create a quilt under the following conditions: "The quilt must be about food in some recognizable way and include an interpretation of a block pattern of the artist’s choosing." As usual, a wide variety of spectacular original designs have been chosen that whole heartedly, or should we say whole stomached-ly, embraced the theme of food, and are now on display at the museum.
