Presented by the International Quilt Museum: ""Boro" is a Japanese term associated with the cycle of use and reuse — of wearing something out and mending it, over and over. In rural communities across Japan, mainly before World War II, boro was a way of life. Everyday textiles such as bed covers and clothing were repeatedly repaired using scraps of fabric and simple running stitches. Join the International Quilt Museum’s Marin Hanson for a Textile Talk with boro expert Dr. Yoshiko Wada, in which they will look at and discuss the IQM’s current exhibition, “Boro: The Hidden and the Visible in Japanese Mended Textiles.”" Register today and watch when this episode airs this Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at 2 PM EDT.
