The National Quilt Museum's New Quilts From An Old Favorite exhibit has returned, this time with a focus on food. A challenge was sent out to quilters to create a quilt under the following conditions: "The quilt must be about food in some recognizable way and include an interpretation of a block pattern of the artist’s choosing." As usual, a wide variety of spectacular original designs have been chosen that whole heartedly, or should we say whole stomached-ly, embraced the theme of food, and are now on display at the museum.

All quilts are original designs.This year’s finalists are from 20 states and 3 countries. Three outside judges made the final decisions regarding first, second, and third places. The exhibition will travel to five AQS (American Quilter’s Society) QuiltWeek shows in 2026 and 2027."
