How to Make a 3-Dimensional Quilt with Susan Else | How to Paper Piece a Fan Quilt Block
(Show 1309) Meet "quilt sculptor" and teacher Susan Else, who made the leap from "flat quilts" to one-of-a-kind, three-dimensional quilted works and has never looked back. Susan shares a selection of her incredible quilted sculptures. She then demonstrates how she uses felt, fabric-wrapped floral wire, and couching to create dimensional leaves and helps Alex construct a 3-D diorama. Susan has some excellent tips for adapting your cutting tools to accommodate physical limitations. In addition, Alex demos the fast-and-fun, paper-pieced fan block that she used in her colorful quilt Hot Flash.
