Who is Deb Lyons?

Textile Artist and Painter, Deb Lyons, moved to Paducah KY in 2005 as part of the Artist Relocation Program. Deb was chosen by the Paducah Quilt Murals Inc Board, as one of the top six local artists who qualified to paint the Paducah Quilt Murals. In 2024, Deb was awarded the honor to paint "Xela Wins at Keeneland", a quilt she made herself!  Many times one artist creates an original art piece and another artist translates that into a mural. It's a rare distinction when the same artist is honored this way, helping to preserve the original artistic intent and detail from one medium to another.
