The Quilt Show Puzzle: "Kaleidoscope" by Tara Miller
Do a puzzle of Tara Miller's quilt, Kaleidoscope.
When making Kaleidoscope, Tara really wanted to focus on contrasting warm and cool fabrics since she was using prints. She feels that it can really awaken a quilt and make it exciting when you contrast the two. She also wanted a strong vertical element, so she used the warms on that area of the quilt to draw the viewers attention, while letting the cool blues and greens take a backdrop.
