Featured Quilt - Best Hand Quilting at QuiltCon 2026

Midnight & Noon by Lauren Klementz-Harte won Best Hand Quilting (Sponsored by Wonderfil) at QuiltCon 2026. Lauren says about her quilt, "In deep darkness we only see illuminated shapes, but inherently know there is more there. Full light uncovers what was always present, yet details still go unnoticed. Subtle minutiae that bring texture and interest to everyday life can often be unappreciated, overlooked, ignored. The quilting on this piece was informed by overlapping the front and back compositions. The contours influenced each other. New features emerged, inviting a close look, inviting more observation of midnight & noon."

Texas Tech: Blue and Cheddar Quilt

Learn about a blue, cheddar, and oxblood quilt with blocks and colors that indicate that it is from the 1880-1889 time frame. However, some scholars think the curved edging and light binding are indicative of a 1925-1950 date. Discover more about the pattern, quilting, and where and when this color combination was popular and when they actually think it was made.

We Love to Quilt (And Know You Do Too!)

Valentine's Day may have been last month, but we think every day is a great day to express your love for your loved ones, your friends, and the things you love, like quilting. That love can be expressed by making a loving quilt (like Tiffany Hayes' above), or by sharing your love through teaching another to quilt. We're partial to the latter, as we're all about sharing our quilting knowledge here at The Quilt Show. So pull up a chair and watch a show or two (hundred), and find the next thing that you're going to love to share with that someone you love.
