First Place - 1st Entry Paducah 2026, A Behind the Scenes Look at "Twenty Years of Tula Pink", WeAllSew Tutorial: Circle Pot Holders, Precision Cutting Meets Creative Possibility - Pre-Order Your 2027 BOM Kit Today

Featured Quilt - First Place Small Wall Quilts 1st Entry in an AQS Paducah Quilt Contest at AQS QuiltWeek Paducah 2026

The Ocean Is A Woman by Angela Minaudo won First Place - Small Wall Quilts - 1st Entry in an AQS Paducah Quilt Contest (Sponsored by Laurastar by Sew-A-Lot) at AQS QuiltWeek - Paducah 2026. Using a photograph by Kurt Arrigo as her design source, Angela had this to say about how she was inspired to make her quilt. "The ocean is Woman! A source of life, it saw life emerge 3.5 billion years ago and continues to nourish the Earth. I have discovered many initiatives by female scientists to protect marine biodiversity. The sea and the woman symbolize a powerful force, but their voices are still not heard enough. “If you want to save the ocean, make sure women are part of the solution”."

The Quilt Show Puzzle: Pure "Poppy" Fun

"Poppy Quilt" by Audrey Esarey

Audrey's Poppy Quilt is one of her newest quilts, and winner of the Best Original Modern Design at QuiltCon 2025. She says, "This is my version of a flower quilt block designed using primarily curved piecing. The various reds contrast against the turquoise fabric, and the corner stars create a secondary mini block that continues into the border. A subtle color gradation is applied diagonally throughout the design. While not directly inspired by another quilt block, the Poppy Quilt shares some design elements with a traditional block, the Petal Circle in a Square, dating back to 1955.
