Featured Quilt - First Place Small Wall Quilts - Stationary Machine Quilted

Storm of the Soul by Laura Franci won First Place - Small Wall Quilts - Stationary Machine Quilted (Sponsored by NECCHI) at AQS QuiltWeek - Paducah 2026 and took home an Honorable Mention in the Wall Quilts - Stationary Machine Quilted category at AQS QuiltWeek - Daytona Beach 2026. Here's how Laura chose to describe her striking quilt, “He had the storm inside and no one noticed” (Cesare Pavese). Hidden from the eyes of the common spectator, the storm is bottled up and hides deep in the soul. And outside, only a clear sky. Look beyond the surface, recognize that silence (clear sky) can hide deep emotional storms."

But we're not divulging their secrets just yet. You'll just have to see what you can learn when you join us on the set of an all new Quilt Show!

The Quilt Show Puzzle: Heirlooms That Share Their History

"My Legacy" by Lezleigh Kleibrink

My Legacy was done for Lezleigh's friend, and was created using doilies, handkerchiefs, and tea towels that were made by her friend's mother, aunts, and great aunt. These heirlooms were sitting in a drawer, wasting away and not being seen. So Lezleigh's friend handed them to her and asked if she could do anything to make them shine. Lezleigh put them all together, and now that quilt  sits on her friend's bed and is seen by her every day.
