Featured Quilt - Outstanding Hand Quilting at Road to California 2026
After receiving a Judge's Choice Award at the Houston International Quilt Festival in 2024, Sachiko Chiba's To My Father is back on the awards circuit and won Outstanding Hand Quilting at Road to California this year. Beyond the award recognition, Sachiko's quilt holds a deeper and more personal meaning for her, as she made it for her father. She says, “This piece is dedicated to my father, who passed away late last year. He is very important to our family. He was very excited about this quilt. I worked very hard to finish it, thinking of him. I put many of his favorite things into the design, and I believe he is pleased with its
completion.”
