Featured Quilt - Second Place Windham Artisan Cottons Fabric Challenge at QuiltCon 2026
Fray It Ain't So by Nora Bauser won Second Place in the Windham Artisan Cottons Fabric Challenge (Sponsored by Windham Fabrics) at QuiltCon 2026. Nora says of how she created her work, "This quilt plays with the unique beauty of shot cotton, where two different thread colors are interwoven to create a third, shifting hue. 2" fabric circles were frayed down to a 1" square at its center, revealing the full spectrum of each fabric. Playing with which fabric color was in the background the effect is one of overlapping diamonds."

Take A Look At What's Coming Your Way
Carol Ann McCandless debuts on The Quilt Show this week, and as always, we're here with a tour of our set to show you just what it was like when she made her visit. You'll get just a taste of her years of experience in both design and as a longarmer, plus a peek at her junk journals. That, and a visit with the Paducah quilt mural artists, await you this Sunday on an all new Quilt Show.
Watch Carol in Scaling Up Quilt Designs & Junk Journaling - Carol Ann McCandless | Paducah Quilt Murals, when it debuts this Sunday, April 4, 2026. |

WeAllSew Tutorial: Fabric Easter Basket |
"Hippity-Hoppity, Easter's On Its Way"
Melissa Mortenson of the Polka Dot Chair Blog came up with the idea of making small Easter baskets out of fabric so she could take them with her when she traveled on Spring Break. These small fabric baskets would be great for “little hands” on Easter morning this Sunday. Since they are made of fabric they are also very “packable”. You can send them to friends or family far across the country! |

"Crescendo" by Betty Busby
Betty loves fungi, and if you look at the underside of fungi and see the ribs radiating out of the gills, that is where the basis for the design of Crescendo came from. And if you start to look at different mycological pictures you'll see that they come in all kinds of colors and shapes like the ones on Betty's quilt. It has couched cording to represent the radiating ribs and hand beading for the spores.
