Best Wall Movable Machine Workmanship - Paducah 2026, Nina Clotfelter's "Great Show", The World's Longest Scarf Knitted During a Marathon, Indelible Mix Quilt & Fabrics

Welcome to Wednesday April 29, 2026

Featured Quilt - Best Wall Movable Machine Workmanship Award at AQS QuiltWeek Paducah 2026

Little Baskets by Patricia Harrison won the Grace Company Best Wall Movable Machine Workmanship Award at AQS QuiltWeek - Paducah 2026. Patricia's quilt was created using Wendy Williams' "Little Baskets" (Flying Fish Kits, 2024) as her design source. Featuring over thirty delectably designed baskets, we like to think that each one carries one of the many techniques that Patricia used to bring her quilt to life, including wool appliqué, hand embroidery, machine piecing, free-motion quilting, and ruler work.

Nina Clotfelter's "Great Show" Is One Everyone Should See!

You're In For a Treat When You Watch Our Latest Show

Nina Clotfelter may be new to The Quilt Show, but that hasn't stopped her from leaving a lasting impression on our members. Her fun free motion tips have even inspired our very own BOM expert Barbara Black to jump in on the fun. Hear what Barbara and the other members of our Quilt Show community have to say about Nina's show:

"Great show! Made me want to sit right down and FMQ. Nina did a great job!" - Barbara Black

"Wow! I am so excited to finally see NIna's Quilt Show debut. She is a friend of mine and a former fellow with the guild in Mobile, AL. She really does an excellent job. Nina is very enthusiastic and adventurous about the wonderful quilting world and she shares it all. Thank you for bringing her to the public's eye." - Pegi C.

"I am so glad to have seen this show this morning. Nina's story really touched me as her sewing and quilting journey and background very much parallel my own. Thank you, thank you, thank you!" - Laura B.

See The World's Longest Scarf Knitted... While Running a Marathon!

It's A New World Record

From Stylecraft Yarns: "Congratulations to veteranknitter for breaking a world record in knitting the longest scarf whilst running a marathon. He needed to beat 3.7 meters and knitted an amazing 5.5 meters!!!"

If it were us, we'd probably fall down after the first inch or two, but some people are just truly talented (and well-coordinated enough) to pull off such a feat. Want to get a glimpse of veteranknitter's world record-setting scarf? Click through to see how it turned out.

The Quilt Show Puzzle: Take a Look Under the Ocean

"Song of the Sea" by Kathy McNeil

Song of the Sea won a Blue Ribbon for Best Wall Quilt at the Pacific International Quilt Festival 2015, among many other awards, and was created using some of the techniques featured in our Masterclass on Surface Design. Be on the look out, as Song of the Sea has a cameo in Kathy's segment of the show. As to how she up came to the end result of her unbelievable underwater quilt, Kathy says, "I had no idea where my lovely sea creature would take me. She ended up in an art nouveau design playing with / or eating her little friends?"

Learn about Surface Application from Kathy, and our other Surface Design Masters, in our first Surface Design Masterclass, Using Surface Applications | Surface Design Masterclass 1.
