Featured Quilt - Best Hand Workmanship Award at AQS QuiltWeek Paducah 2026
Beautiful Village (Lake District) by Junko Fujiwara won the AQS Best Hand Workmanship Award at AQS QuiltWeek - Paducah 2026. A variation on Junko's similarly titled Beautiful Village quilt, this one incorporates a series of lakes around the titular village to create a change of scenery which brings a feeling of tranquility and calm. Using a combination of hand appliqué, hand embroidery, hand piecing, and hand quilting, it isn't too hard to see why Junko took home the award for Best Hand Workmanship. |

"The Quill Feather" by Nina Clotfelter
The Quill Feather was made for a specific spot in Nina's house. In her stairwell, there's a long, narrow wall that's always been blank in need of something to fill the void, and The Quill Feather took up that position. So Nina made the background of the quilt, and then added the feathers on top of it. The feathers themselves came from a pre-fused laser cut kit. She tweaked and trimmed some of the feathers, and moved some of them around into different positions, to create her own look for it. She then had fun quilting the background, which was all done with straight lines and ruler work. It's a simple quilt that makes a huge impact.

QUILT! It's What We Do!
And, we hope it's what you do too. Hand quilt, machine quilt, sew, embellish, embroider, however it is you love to create, we love it too, and have probably featured it a time or two here on The Quilt Show. Whether you have rediscovered your passion through watching TQS, or have found an all new one, we thank you for the time you've shared with us, and look forward to many more new discoveries to come. |
