Pencil Quilt Red by Yasuyo Kon won First Place - Large Quilts - Stationary Machine at AQS QuiltWeek - Daytona Beach 2026. Yasuyo says about putting her quilt together, "I challenge myself to make quilts that maximize the use of my sewing machine's built-in stitches, particularly those I don't use. I created this work with the aim of building a sense of unity between the stitches and free-motion quilting."
